Paragon Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd has approximately fifteen experienced, skilled staff including Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, Administrators and casual staff.
We are committed to our staff to provide the skills, training and opportunities within our engineering disciplines. We ensure that work is carried out in a friendly, professional team environment providing flexibility and staff incentives within the workplace. Our staff are treated with respect and encouragement to work in a friendly, entusiastic environment. They are provided with the latest engineering tools to undertake their duties in an efficient manner. Training is regularly provided to ensure that all staff remain up-to-date with changing standards, guidelines and statutory requirements.

Tom Long RPEQ (6373), MIEAust, CPEng, NPER, BEng (Hons)
Tom began Paragon Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd in July 2004, after having completed 10 years experience as a Professional Engineer in the areas of consulting and contracting. Born and raised in the UK, Tom immigrated to Australia in 1999 and moved to Mackay in 2000. Qualified in Civil and Structural engineering, Tom now concentrates on Project Management and running the company.

Caitie Wilson GradIEAust, BEng Co-op (Civil)(Hons)
Caitie commenced employment with Paragon Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd in 2007, Caitie has experience in civil design relating to urban development and associated infrastructure. She also has an excellent understanding of stormwater quality design requirements and traffic engineering.
Peter Lea GradIEAust, BEng Co-op (Civil)(Hons)
Peter joined Paragon Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd in 2007 as a Graduate Engineer. Growing up in Mackay, Peter has good local knowledge of the area and has experience working for local governments and private consultants. Peter specialises in the field of structural engineering design.
John McGarry Assoc. Dip (C. Eng)
John commenced work with Paragon Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd in 2005 as a senior Civil Designer and has extensive local knowledge of civil design requirements. With nearly 20 years of experience as a Civil Designer within Mackay, John is highly regarded within the industry.
Candice Dutton
Candice joined Paragon Consulting Engineers in 2006 after working in the local industry. Her efficient nature and engineering ability enables her to produce high quality outputs in an efficient and timely manner.
Dean Spilsbury
Dean joined the team at Paragon Consulting Engineers in March 2009 as a Civil Designer. He has over 4 years experience in Civil Design and has extensive experience in designing roads (rural and urban), stormwater systems including lake designs, residential and industrial subdivisions and bulk earthworks.

Brienna Harriss & Gaye McGarry
Our administration section is made up of Gaye McGarry & Brienna Harriss. Both ladies are previous Council employees who between them have over 30 years experience in customer service based industries.They are always ready to greet you with a warm welcoming smile and are committed to providing excellent customer service.
