Our Team

Tom set up Paragon Consulting Engineers in July 2004, having gained ten years experience as a professional engineer in the areas of consulting and contracting. Born and raised in the UK, Tom emigrated to Australia in 1999 and moved to Mackay in 2000. Qualified in civil and structural engineering, Tom now concentrates on project management and running the company.

Peter graduated in 2007 and has many years experience in structural design, inspections, damage assessment and project management. Peter has extensive knowledge of using structural design programs to produce efficient designs. Peter manages the structural section of the company. Peter achieved his RPEQ status in 2022.

Brendon joined PCE in 2012 as a graduate civil engineer with one year of post graduate experience, and specialises predominantly in the conceptual and detailed design of urban infrastructure, stormwater quality design and sewer design. Brendon also has a year of undergradute experience in procurement and the maintenance of bulk materials handling facilities. Brendon achieved his RPEQ status at the start of 2018.

David joined PCE in January 2025. David graduated in 2009 and has many years experience in both civil and structural engineering, as well as management. David’s experience covers everything from roads and bridges to mining, residential, commercial and industrial. David achieved his RPEQ status at the start of 2019.

Corrina joined PCE in March 2016 and has since developed her career as an engineer and is an integral part of our company. Corrina has skills in project management, engineering design and drafting and provides essential support to both the civil and structural disciplines within PCE. Corrina has completed her Associate Degree in Engineering (Civil) and enjoys expanding her knowledge and ability in the engineering industry.

Rhys joined PCE in July 2023 as a Civil Engineer with extensive civil design experience after working with Mackay Regional Council for over four years in their capital works department and has recently completed his Bachelor of Engineering Degree. Rhys has an excellent knowledge of 12d design software and is very familiar with the local standards and guideline for civil engineering design.

Ryan joined PCE in June 2021 while undertaking his first year of study at University and has since gained hands-on experience as an undergraduate engineer during his university breaks. Throughout his time with PCE, Ryan has contributed to civil and structural design, drafting and report writing. Having recently completed his degree, Ryan has joined the team full-time, and looks forward to further developing his expertise and making valuable contributions to PCE.

Candice joined PCE in 2006 after working in the local industry. Candice is an experienced structural drafter across residential, commercial and industrial projects; producing detailed, reliable drawings that support efficient and compliant construction. Candice’s well-organised nature and engineering proficiency lead to high-quality outputs delivered in an efficient and timely manner.

Dean joined PCE in September 2022 as an Apprentice Civil Design Drafter. Dean has completed his Certificate III in Engineering – Technical, through TAFE Queensland and is currently studying his Associate degree in Civil Engineering.

Hicran joined PCE in February 2025 as a Civil Engineer. Hicran holds a Master’s degree in both Civil Engineering and Health & Safety. Having recently moved to Australia, Hicran brings valuable experience from having worked on construction sites and engineering projects in both Turkey and New Zealand. Hicran is now contributing to the engineering team and supporting PCE’s projects and operations.

Porscha joined the PCE team in 2025 and is currently studying her Associate Degree in Engineering. With a strong professional background in project coordination, team leadership, and operational management, she brings several years of experience driving administrative efficiency across fast-paced environments. Porscha is proactive, versatile, and solutions-focused; she looks forward to expanding her technical knowledge and contributing meaningfully to project delivery within the engineering sector and the PCE team.
